Back in January I created my own vision board and as ever I found the process to be exciting. I am unable to visualise thanks to a rare condition called aphantasia. When someone says, picture a red triangle you can probably see one…I can’t. I mean, I know what a red triangle is but I can’t actually see it in my minds eye. When I’m reading a book, I can’t see the scenes described or the characters, which is possibly why I get on well with murder mystery and psychological thriller’s (about serial killers), I can’t visualise the descriptions so I don’t find the scene setting to be all that disturbing (though of course the characterisation created can be.
By creating a vision board I was able to actually find images to suit and match my goals and aspirations and by spending a few minutes a day looking at it I’ve actually been able to focus on my goals….and indeed have achieved a good number of them already.
