Eye Strain And Vision Problems: Staring at screens for long periods of time can cause eye strain, dry eyes, headaches, and blurred vision. This is due to the blue light emitted by screens, which can damage the retina. In addition to eye strain, prolonged screen time can also lead to nearsightedness, especially in children and teenagers.
Poor Posture: Spending too much time sitting in front of a screen can also lead to poor posture, which can cause neck and back pain. When we sit in front of a computer or smartphone, we tend to slouch forward, which puts pressure on the neck and spine. Of course if you (like me) work at a computer all day every day it is important to make sure you (try to) remember to take regular breaks.
