Five Things To Do On A Sunday To Prepare For A Perfect Monday

Many people dread Sunday because they know that the start of a new week is looming. Some people look forward to a new week, but others are filled with apathy. In an attempt to help you conquer this feeling I give you five things you can do on a Sunday to help you have a positive start to your week.

Plan Out Your Week: Take a few minutes on Sunday to review your calendar and schedule for the upcoming week. Identify any appointments or meetings that are important and ensure that you have allocated enough time to prepare for them. Write down all the tasks and projects that you need to complete during the week, and prioritise them based on importance and urgency. This will help you to stay focused and productive throughout the week.

Organise Your Workspace: A cluttered workspace can be distracting and can make it difficult to focus on your work. Take some time on Sunday to clean and organise your workspace. Remove any unnecessary items and make sure that everything you need is within easy reach. This will help you to start the week with a clear and organised space, which can help you to be more productive and efficient. Of course, if you’re not working from home you’re not expected to go into work on the Sunday to do this - but if you’re working from home it’s an option.

Meal Prep: Planning your meals for the week can help you to save time and ensure that you are eating healthy and nutritious meals. On Sunday, take some time to plan your meals for the week ahead. You can also do some meal prep, such as chopping vegetables, cooking rice, or marinating meat. This can help you to save time during the week, and ensure that you are eating healthy and nutritious meals. You could even go one step further and batch cook some meals for freezing.

Get Some Exercise: Starting your day with exercise can help you to feel more energised and focused. On Sunday, consider going for a walk, jog, or doing some yoga to help you relax and recharge. Exercise can also help to reduce stress and improve your mood, which can help you to be more productive and focused during the week.

Get Some Rest: Finally, make sure that you get enough rest on Sunday. Getting a good night's sleep can help you to feel rested and refreshed, which can help you to tackle the week ahead with energy and focus. If you have trouble sleeping, consider practicing some relaxation techniques, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises. This can help you to relax and fall asleep more easily, which can help you to wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start the week.
